Oscar Peterson - The Jazz Legend and the Man I Knew
Saturday, August 04, 2018 - 8:00:00 PM - Algonquin Theatre
Having worked with Oscar Peterson for five years Lance Anderson gained insight into his genius as both a performer and composer. An award-winning pianist and narrator himself, Anderson has created this two man theatre piece to pay homage to Peterson’s legend and relate personal tales, reflecting the character and interesting idiosyncrasies of the man himself. Intimate, and at times funny, you will be moved by this touching performance. The audience will have a backstage look into the nature of genius and will gain a further understanding of Oscar's unique place atop the jazz artists of the 20th century!
